A woman for all seasons and a Jill of all trades, Sonia was as much a music and popular culture historian as she was a writer as she was a radio personality as she was an entrepreneur. With her signature giggle, she lived a full life and leaves behind a 4 year old gem of a son, Aedan! It is the hope of the Sonia Nabeta Foundation that her warm, lovely and unforgettable spirit will inspire those living with T1D to never let the condition be a reason not to soar.
The Sonia Nabeta Foundation (SNF) was founded by Nabeta family in honor of their daughter and sister, Sonia Stephanie Nabeta who fought a valiant fight against T1D until she joined the angels on August 5, 2015.
A quintessential Taurus millennial, she never let 16 years of living with T1D get in her way. She lived her life according to her favorite maxim:
"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all"
